In 1999, Daniel Avery joined the highly acclaimed Mistral restaurant in Boston as financial controller. Over the next decade, Dan’s responsibilities expanded as Mistral developed into Columbus Hospitality Group. Ultimately, he oversaw all financial functions for Mistral, Sorellina, Mooo…., XV Beacon, the Inn at St. Botolph, Teatro, and L’Andana.
An avid fan of the Boston restaurant scene, Dan created Bistro Accounting in 2009 and brought his accounting experience to numerous independent restaurants and franchises.
Prior to joining Mistral, Dan held accounting positions with EF Travel and several small Boston-based companies. Dan served in the United States Marine Corps from 1987 to 1993.
